Anna-Marie is currently a candidate legal practitioner at ESI. She worked as a conveyancing paralegal at a regional firm in England before gaining experience in Namibia in general litigation, family law, employment law, contracts and debt collecting.
Anna-Maries's experience includes:
- Debt collecting for various major Namibian banks in the Magistrates and High Court;
- Case management and general litigation in High Court and Magistrates Court;
- Conducting Section 65 financial enquiries in the Magistrates Court;
- Divorces, maintenance claims and custody matters;
- Entering into negotiations and mediations on behalf of clients;
- Conducting research and drafting advisory notes on various contractual and delictual matters;
- Assisting clients with sale and lease agreements;
- Negotiating and drafting of settlement agreements;
- Application and renewal of liquor licences;
- Advice and litigation regarding sectional title matters; and
- Drafting of last will and restaments, acknowledgements of debt and antenuptial contracts (ANCs).
