Hassan is a Senior Associate in the litigation department. He has over a decade of experience on a broad range of labour, criminal, contractual and commercial litigation matters. He currently focuses on High Court litigation for civil, labour and criminal matters. He's experienced in general trust administration and registrations as well as commercial contract drafting.
His experience includes:
- Advising clients in urgent High Court proceedings concerning various actions such as the release of funds, avoiding sales in execution of of judgment debts, evictions, bail applications and labour and criminal appeals in the High and Supreme Courts.
- Litigation in the lower and higher courts in debt collections for major banks in Namibia.
- Family law matters at the Children’s Court, including matrimonial matters.
- Chairing, intitiating and defending companies/employees in high stakes internal disciplinary hearings, conciliations and arbitrations at the Office of the Labour Commissioner.
- Leading in the settlement of general contractual and commercial disputes.
- Attending to immigration law related matters.
- Legal advice and drafting of legal opinions for decision-making by corporate executives, boards and local authorities.
- Training and capacity building of trustees and directors.
- Drafting and training on legal risk management strategies, policies and internal protocols to manage risk.
