Alison is an Associate at Equity Juris Chambers and her areas of practice include inter-alia corporate law, commercial law, intellectual property and technology law and civil law.
Prior to joining the firm, Alison worked as a legal advisor with 250STARTUPS Incubator Ltd in Kigali, Rwanda where she specialized in incubating and accelerating tech startups to be fundable for a period of six months per cohort by offering legal, technical and mentorship support. Her main duties included registering companies, preparing and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, articles of assosication, letters of intent, legal opinions, among others.
Experience has included advising:
- Rwandan companies in negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and giving advice on various commercial and corporate contracts such as service agreements, partnership agreements, and share purchase agreements.
- Rwandan companies on their incorporation documents, company registration, intellectual property registration, and advising on the different corporate structures, and related tax implications.
