Obakeng is a Senior Associate in Minchin & Kelly (Botswana)’s Civil and Corporate Litigation Division, where he focuses on complex dispute resolution and strategic  litigation advisory. Since joining the firm in May 2019, he has demonstrated  exceptional analytical ability, discipline, and legal acumen – progressing from legal assistant to admission as an attorney in February 2020 after graduating 
third in his class.

Obakeng has developed a strong reputation for his meticulous preparation,  persuasive advocacy, and commercially attuned litigation strategy. In addition to his litigation expertise, Obakeng is a qualified arbitrator with  practical experience in arbitral proceedings. His dual perspective as both 
litigator and arbitrator enables him to approach disputes with strategic depth,  procedural insight, and a results-oriented mindset.
