Winfred is a seasoned lawyer with over 12 years experience providing legal and tax advisory services across diverse sectors. Winfred specialises in taxation work including international tax and transfer pricing, tax compliance, audits, tax risk assessment, tax planning and structuring, and comprehensive tax health checks for both public and private sector organisations.

Winfred's work covers:

  • Transfer pricing and international tax including conducting transfer pricing reviews, advising and structuring of related party transactions to comply with local regulations. Preparing transfer pricing documentation. Preparing transfer pricing defence files and representing clients during transfer pricing audits.
  • Reviewing intercompany transactions and advice on the best way of structuring contracts and agreements from a tax perspective.
  • Tax audits: acting with tax audit teams to review the tax authority’s findings. Representing clients at audit meetings and negotiating settlements.
  • Tax and legal health checks including review of client tax systems to ensure compliance with the law as well as proposing solutions to the client to remedy non-compliance.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: acting for the buyer side to review the target entity from a legal and tax perspective (tax due diligence) and providing tax advice to purchasers on the compliance status of the target entity while pointing out issues for consideration.
  • Tax planning and structuring: helping taxpayers arrange their business affairs and contracts in the most tax optimal way.
  • Tax dispute resolution covering the entire disputes cycle from objections, alternative dispute resolution, Tribunal appearances and acting for taxpayers in Tribunal guided mediations and settlements.
