Esther Nafula advises financial institutions on lending arrangements and other forms of specialised finance, as well as on compliance obligations with Uganda’s financial services regulatory regime.
Experience has included advising:
- Stanbic Bank and JUMO in connection with the structured warehouse financing of US$ 18 million.
- An export credit agency for a proposed export credit sovereign guarantee facility.
- A forfaiting and trade-related finance provider and an export credit agency as lender for a proposed sovereign corporate facility.
- African Development Bank in connection with a Partial Credit Guarantee Agreement worth US$ 2 million granted to the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership.
- The lenders on a US$ 3 million financing to a SME micro-lending entity.
- International Finance Corporation on a financing to Mammoth and certain of its subsidiaries.
- The lenders in connection with a sustainability-linked borrowing base and term loan facilities Greenlight Planet and certain of its subsidiaries.

- Advocate admitted to the High Court of Uganda.
