In pursuance of it Pro-bono activities, Juristconsult Chambers held a training on Tuesday 7 August 2018 for 18 NGOs. NGOs working in different fields responded present to the Data Protection training. The aim of this training was to help them in understanding the basics of the “Data Protection Act 2017”. The NGOs collect and manage sensitive personal data of their members and it is important for them to be aware about the updated legislation. The audience was responsive with several exchanges which were answered by the two speakers, Shalinee Dreepaul-Halkhoree and Bhavish Sewraz, Partner and Associate-Barrister at the firm.
