On 11 April 2017, Juristconsult Chambers has organised the launch of ‘WIN’ (What In-house lawyers Need) Mauritius. The launch was held in the premises of the firm at Ebene.

Juristconsult Chambers is a member of DLA Piper Africa Group, an alliance of leading independent law firms working together in association with DLA Piper, both internationally and across Africa.

WIN is a program that is directed to the company lawyers (in-house counsels), through an online platform that contains a countless number of documents, publications listed by industry and the legal tools. WIN has been developed by a community of company lawyers, for the company lawyers. At the present time, WIN is present in several countries and in particular in Australia, the United States, Hong Kong, the Middle East, France, Germany, Israel, in Africa, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. More than 6,000 users spread across 77 countries are already registered on the website of DLA Piper WIN. WIN provides an evolutionary series of events, tools and forums designed to meet technical needs, commercial and personal company lawyers. These events enable in-house lawyers of renowned companies to share their personal experiences and their know-how. The committee in charge of the customer relationship of WIN also offers different perspectives and ideas in order to guarantee a program adapted to the needs of the lawyers.

At the launch of the WIN, three main questions have been addressed to the in-house lawyers from several large local companies who were present. These issues were related to the problems they face and how the platform could help them.

Juristconsult Chambers will ensure that the program WIN is adapted to the requirements and to the reality of the local market of Mauritius by providing training, resources and a forum for the exchange between in-house lawyers.
