Sally Hayfron-Benjamin Boaten is a Partner at Reindorf Chambers, Ghana. She has been in practice with the firm since 2008.

She is primarily involved in advising clients in the areas of corporate and commercial law. In particular, she advises on international investments, oil and gas, banking and finance, insurance, company set ups, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.

Experience has included advising:

  • A syndicate of lenders including foreign banks in relation to financing of a Ghanaian incorporated borrower’s interest in the development of certain oil and gas fields in Ghana
  • An aquaculture company in relation to conducting a vendor due diligence into the company
  • A foreign investor in relation to conducting due diligence into a Ghanaian incorporated real estate company
  • A foreign investor in relation to conducting due diligence into a medical facility specializing in oncology care in respect of a proposed investment
  • A foreign investor in relation to conducting a due diligence into a Ghanaian incorporated independent power producer
  • A Ghanaian incorporated subsidiary of a Chinese company in respect of the acquisition of immovable property situate in Ghana
  • As a team member, the Government of Ghana in respect of the maritime boundary dispute with Côte d'Ivoire before the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS)
  • Vulcan Natural Resources Limited in arbitration proceedings instituted on its behalf  against a Ghanaian incorporated construction company for the payment of amounts owed the company under a contract between the parties
  • A mining company in respect of an appeal in the Supreme Court against a decision of the Court of Appeal in a claim brought by 77 persons for among others compensation for farms crops lost due to their relocation from their settlement as a result of the activities of the company
  • Vulcan Natural Resources Limited in respect of a court action for the enforcement of rights of occupation to property pursuant to an agreement between the company and its shareholder
