Naima is an Associate in the Real Estate and Finance Practice Group at IKM, where as part of a team, she provides comprehensive legal support to both local and international clients. In the finance sector, she assists clients with diverse matters, including the preparation, perfection, and review of securities. As part of the Practice Group, she also advises on the issuance of various financial instruments. In real estate, Naima’s work includes but is not limited to assisting in the negotiation and drafting of leases, sale agreements, and transfer documents.
Experience has included advising:
- As part of a team, a wind power generation company in the leasing of property to conduct feasibility studies and to construct and operate a wind farm.
- As a team member, various clients in sales, purchases, and leases of property by drafting and reviewing sale agreements, letters of offer/ heads of terms and leases, undertaking due diligence and generally ensuring compliance with the law while protecting the clients’ interests.
- As part of a team, various lenders in the creation and perfection of securities including charges, debentures, guarantees, and security agreements.
- As a team member, individuals and body corporates in drafting or reviewing commercial and residential leases and undertaking registration where required.
