Qualification: Bachelor of Science Economics, Marketing or related field; Marketing or business operations courses like (Diploma in Marketing Communication, Diploma in Digital Marketing, Certificate in Marketing, etc.) required.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) – three (3) years’ experience in Research, Business Development, Marketing Communications/Digital Marketing, Client Intelligence within a professional services or corporate environment.

Job Purpose: The Junior Analyst will work with the Business Development team by conducting research, gathering market intelligence, and providing insights that inform client engagement, sector strategy, and marketing initiatives. The role ensures that the firm’s business development efforts are data-driven, timely, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on potential clients, target sectors, and competitors to support business development strategy and client targeting initiatives.
  • Gather and analyse information on market trends, regulatory developments, and sector activities relevant to the firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure research insights inform guide client engagements and thought leadership initiatives
  • Develop client and sector profiles to support engagements, pitches, and strategic planning.
  • Maintain and update the firm’s database of target clients, prospects, and market intelligence.
  • Support the preparation of BD and marketing materials, including pitches, proposals and capability statements.
  • Monitor news, transactions, and legal/regulatory developments to identify potential opportunities for client engagement.
  • Provide data and insights to assist with ranking submissions
  • Work with the practice groups to track pipeline opportunities and utilisation of BD initiatives.
  • Manage CRM data to ensure client and opportunity information is accurate and current.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reports on BD performance, client engagement metrics, and sector activity.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and an understanding of client confidentiality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fee earners, partners, and business support professionals
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Knowledge of legal directories, league tables, and industry databases (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500).
  • Keen interest in the legal industry, key sectors, and emerging market trends.
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or visual summaries for management review
  • Candidate must have a good knowledge of; Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Business operations, Digital Marketing tools, Branding and knowledge of the use of Business development processes and tools, and Familiar with SEO and Google Analytics.
