Free legal training series for entrepreneurs

MEST Lagos partners with Olajide Oyewole LLP

MEST Lagos has partnered with Olajide Oyewole LLP, DLA Piper Africa member firm in Nigeria, to deliver a series of training sessions aimed at sharing legal, commercial and financial best practices with entrepreneurs from the creative and technology sectors.

The first of the free quarterly training sessions will take place on 5th February 2019, held at MEST Incubator Lagos. It will feature partners from Olajide Oyewole LLP and panellists drawn from both sectors including a financial adviser and a life coach.

Participants in the first session will gain an understanding of incorporation and licensing, intellectual property law, financing, and regulatory frameworks in specific markets and sectors. They will also hear about agreements, work life balance, the tech ecosystem, the role of management and professional development for business owners.

Sandra Oyewole, partner at OOLLP, said: "OOLLP and MEST have a joint objective of supporting entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses in these sectors, and we see a continuous and urgent need for this type of training. With the right knowledge our creative and innovative sectors can continue to develop, scale and become even more viable ."
