Olajide Oyewole announces partner and director promotions

Olajide Oyewole LLP, DLA Piper Africa member firm in Nigeria, has strengthened its office in Lagos with the promotion of Muyiwa Ogungbenro to partner and Atinuke Awomolo to director.

Muyiwa Ogungbenro joined the firm over ten years ago as an associate. He has extensive knowledge and experience in dispute resolution and will jointly lead the Dispute Resolution Practice with Sola Oyebolu. Muyiwa obtained a Master of Law (LLM) degree from The University of Manchester, UK in 2010 and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2005 as barrister and solicitor of the Nigerian Supreme Court. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2003.

Atinuke Awomolo has been promoted to the position of director with the responsibility for knowledge management and training as well as legal project management. Atinuke obtained her law degree from Cardiff University, UK in 2000 and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2004. Previously a senior associate at the firm, Atinuke has extensive experience in legal project management and transformation with a sector focus on infrastructure and private client matters. She has previously worked as an in-house counsel and has wide-ranging experience in commercial law, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, as well as in procurement and contract administration.
