Creation of Provincial Branches of APIEX, IP and approval of the by-laws applicable for the Provincial Branches

We hereby inform the business community and other interested parties that, by means of the Order of 09 December 2021 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Provincial Branches of APIEX IP (Agency for Investment Promotion and Export, IP) have been created in the following provinces:

  • Maputo;
  • Cidade de Maputo;
  • Inhambane;
  • Gaza;
  • Sofala;
  • Manica;
  • Zambézia;
  • Tete;
  • Nampula;
  • Cabo Delgado; 
  • Niassa.

Following the creation of the above branches, the Government has passed by the means of the Ministerial Decree No. 10/2022 of 20 January the by-laws applicable for the Provincial Branches of APIEX, IP.

The aim of the referred by-laws is to regulate the organization and internal operation of the Provincial Branches of APIEX, IP, in accordance with its Organic Statute, General Statute of Public Servants and Agents of the State and other legislation applicable to public institutes.

Each of the Provincial Branches shall be headed by a Provincial Delegate appointed by the General-Director of APIEX, IP.
