Experience has included advising:

  • Senior lenders on a 981.75 MW coal-fired power plant in Lamu County, Kenya.
  • An international company on a grant of concessions over coal mines in Kenya. 
  • The receivers appointed in respect of the sale of wind turbine generators and other assets from a company.
  • A power company on the financing and development of several run-of-river hydropower projects.
  • Clients on the procurement of an EPC contractor for the construction of a 25 km, 400 KV double circuit transmission line and associated substations in Kenya.
  • A developer of a 100 MW wind farm located in the Kajiado County. 
  • The project sponsors in two 40 MW solar power projects in Uasin Gishu County.
  • Clients on a 30 MW solar power project in Makindu, Makueni County.
  • The senior lenders on the development and construction of a 140 MW geothermal power plant and related facilities in the Rift Valley region in Kenya and the sale of capacity and energy to the Kenya Power and Lighting Company.
  • The sponsors in a 40 MW solar power project in Witu, Lamu County.
