Industry Survey Report 2025

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping creative industries globally and Nigeria’s film and television sector is no exception. While much of the global debate particularly in Hollywood has centred on existential threats to creativity and labour, the Nigerian industry presents a more nuanced picture: cautious experimentation and growing concern about regulatory and contractual gaps. The foregoing and other concerns had necessitated the first edition of our AI in the Nigerian Film and TV Industry survey, which revealed interesting results. Since then, AI conversations and use have only grown. In view of this and in order to understand the growing reality of AI use in the industry, we conducted a second edition of the survey, which involved stakeholders across Nigeria’s film and TV industry.
