Our lawyers in Zimbabwe advise on the purchase and sale of existing power assets, as well as on the siting, development, permitting and financing of power projects, both thermal and renewable. 

We act for governments, sponsors and lenders across a range of matters, from the development, construction and financing of power projects to issues related to transmission and distribution networks.

  • A DFI on a phased development of a 15 MW solar PV project in Zimbabwe.
  • In a comprehensive baseline study of the electricity regulatory framework in Zimbabwe including an analysis of the National Energy Policy, 2012; Electricity Act [CAP 13:19]; Electricity Amendment Act of 2007; Electricity Amendment Act 0f 2011; Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 103/2008; Energy Regulatory Authority Act [CAP 13:23]; ZERA Tariff Code.
  • An independent power producer for the construction of two 300 MW thermal power generation plants in Gwayi region in Zimbabwe.
